Shepley v Broad Oak Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership Saturday 27 June 2009 Marsh Lane, Shepley
Shepley had a comprehensive win over Broad Oak in what turned out to be a one-sided game at Marsh Lane. The visitors' top order struggled to get runs against some excellent pace bowling from Romain Grenville (4-48) and Danny Glover (2-65). Graeme Hurlbatt (60) rescued the situation with a very good knock, but on a track suited to run making, 162-7 seemed short of the mark. So it proved as Tom Denton (89*) and Sam Haigh (70*) knocked off the runs with an impressive unbroken opening stand to secure a ten wicket win.
