Shepley village is situated approximately seven miles south east of Huddersfield on the A629 road to Sheffield, near its junction with the A635 Wakefield/Holmfirth road.  The ground is off Marsh Lane.

Using Sat Nav:

Set your SatNav for 78 or 80 Marsh Lane, Shepley HD8 8AE.  The entrance to the narrow lane leading to the ground is between the two houses.

From Huddersfield:

Take the A629 road out of Huddersfield, signposted Sheffield/M1.  Continue on the A629 through Fenay Bridge, Kirkburton and Shelley.  Leaving Shelley, still on the A629, road takes a sharp right hand bend and enters Shepley. Continue past the Cask & Spindle pub, under a railway bridge and for a further half mile until you reach a pedestrian crossing.  Immediately after the crossing, turn right, in front of the Black Bull pub into Marsh Lane.  Follow the road as it sweeps round to the left.  Pass the Church and the Farmers Boy pub on the right. Two hundred yards past the Farmers Boy there is a red bus shelter on the right hand side.  The turning into the narrow lane leading to the ground is immediately before the bus shelter on the right.  The entrance to the ground itself is in fifty yards on the left.

From Sheffield/Penistone:

Follow the A629 towards Huddersfield via Penistone by-pass, Hoylandswaine, Ingbirchworth, Birdsedge.  At junction with A635 Barnsley/Holmfirth road (Sovereign pub on left, large filling station on right), continue on towards Huddersfield.  Half a mile down the hill from the junction are a series of 30mph warning signs, followed by the sign saying ”Shepley”. From that point, take the second left, just before the pedestrian crossing, in front of the Black Bull pub into Marsh Lane.

From the M1, Wakefield/Denby Dale:

From the M1 J39 (if coming south) or J38 (if coming north) follow Huddersfield or Denby Dale signs to the roundabout at Bretton at the junction of the A636 Wakefield/Holmfirth Road and the A637 Barnsley/Huddersfield Road.  From the roundabout follow the A636 signposted Denby Dale and continue for approximately four miles through Clayton West, Scissett and Denby Dale to the junction with the A629 Sheffield/Huddersfield Road (Sovereign pub facing you, large filling station on right), and turn right towards Huddersfield.  Half a mile down the hill from the junction are a series of 30mph warning signs, followed by the sign saying ”Shepley”. From that point, take the second left, just before the pedestrian crossing, in front of the Black Bull pub into Marsh Lane.

From Holmfirth:

Take the A635 Barnsley/Wakefield road out of Holmfirth and continue to New Mill.  At New Mill, the main road sweeps round to the right, but the A635 itself goes straight on up the hill at a confusing junction (the A616 Huddersfield road goes off sharp left at the same point.  Continue up the hill and pass the Crossroads pub on the right.  Three hundred yards past the pub, turn left, signposted Shepley, into Marsh Lane and continue for about one mile. The turning into the narrow lane leading to the ground is immediately after the red bus shelter on the left.  The entrance to the ground itself is in fifty yards on the left.
