Shepley v Emley Clarence Drakes League Premiership Saturday 14 June 2008 Marsh Lane, Shepley
A comfortable win over bottom side Emley Clarence was based around an excellent 108* from Phil Heaton, despite struggling with a bad back that prevented him from bowling, and a fine 86 from Tom Denton. In reply, each of the visitors' top five reached 20, but none could push on. Showing little interest in chasing the target, Emley tried to defend, but the Shepley attack had too much. Danny Glover led the way with 4-46, but the highlight for many spectators was the penetrative bowling of 16 years-old Oliver Huntington who took 3-21 in only his second appearance at this level.
