Shepley v Honley Sykes Cup Quarter Final Sunday June 25th 2006 Marsh Lane, Shepley
A second successive disappointment following the previous day's narrow defeat at home to Honley in the League. This time last season's double-winners were rather more comfortable, always looking in control and coming home with overs to spare. None of the Shepley batsmen were able to push on, with Phil Heaton top-scoring with 34. Heaton was also the pick of the bowlers with 5-41. Shepley were left to rue the absence of South African Michael Olivier, whose work commitments prevented him playing in either of these two Honley fixtures.
