Shepley v Kirkburton Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership Saturday 27th May 2006 Marsh Lane, Shepley
For the second time in a month, Danny Glover proved too good for the Kirkburton batsmen as Shepley cruised to a convincing win. In the recent Sykes Cup tie Danny recorded 5-36; this weekend he went two better with 7-36 as Kirkburton were bowled out for just 86 chasing Shepley's 221 all out. Only the rain threatened Shepley as Tim Rees (83) and an outstanding knock from Tom Denton (52) helped post a respectable score, despite 7-86 from Shepley old boy Rob Kettlewell. The sides meet again in Monday's reverse league fixture.
