Skelmanthorpe v Shepley

Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership

Saturday 1st July 2006

Lidgett Lane, Skelmanthorpe

A superb batting display from Tim Rees (137) led Shepley to a commanding total away to Skelmanthorpe.  Tim's innings, which included 15 fours and 5 sixes was his second century of the season.  He was well supported by second eleven wicketkeeper Sam Haigh who opened the innings with a fine 30, showing himself to be comfortable at this level. Despite 55 from opener Ahmed, Skelmanthorpe were never in the chase and were happy to cling on for a point in the face of penetrative bowling from Phil Heaton (4-51) and Danny Glover (3-71)
