Shepley v Delph & Dobcross Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership Saturday 22nd April 2006 Marsh Lane, Shepley
A heavy, but unsurprising, defeat for a weakened Shepley side against a strong Delph team. With Naved Arif having failed to turn up as overseas player, Phil Heaton on holiday and Ashley Littlewood unavailable, life was always going to be difficult. And so it proved. Despite some resistance from Simon Potter, Huw Ellis and Rob Denton in the middle order, the Delph bowling was too strong, with Mirza taking 5-22 including a hat-trick to finish off the innings. The score was never enough and Delph coasted to six points with 24 overs to spare.
