Elland v Shepley Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership Saturday 10th June 2006 Hullen Edge, Elland
Elland cruised to a comfortable win after getting off to the best possible start at Hullen Edge. Opening bowler Midwood had Shepley in real trouble at 6-3 after taking out Littlewood, Rees and Olivier in quick order. Tom Denton (74) and Phil Heaton (87) staged a great recovery for the fourth wicket and Shepley eventually reached 204-6. It was not enough, however, as Baxter, Robinson and Thornton saw Elland home despite four wickets from Phil Heaton.
