Kirkheaton v Shepley Sykes Cup First Round Sunday 6th May 2007 Bankfield Lane, Kirkheaton
Shepley built on the previous day's first win with a comprehensive Sykes Cup win over Kirkheaton on Sunday. Bowling first, the highly impressive Trent Copeland blew away the Kirkheaton top order, whilst Phil Heaton and Craig Glover saw off the rest. Chasing just 133 to win, Shepley's reply was led by Tom Denton (62*), who was playing his first game of the season following a wholly unfair period of suspension. Tom's quality, with great support from Ashley Littlewood and Phil Heaton, saw his team home and into the next round with 23 overs to spare.
