Micklehurst v Shepley Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership Saturday 29th July 2006 Castle Lane, Micklehurst
Shepley completed an emphatic and important eight wicket win at Micklehurst thanks largely to the bowling of Craig Glover and the outstanding batting of Tom Denton. Micklehurst were bowled out 165, with Craig getting his first five wicket haul of the season. The total seemed a challenge on a difficult track, but Tom Denton celebrated his 17th birthday a couple of days' earlier by blasting 112* (his maiden First XI century) in an innings that underlined his undoubted class. His contribution at times was 50 out of 54-1, 73 out of 83-1, 95 out of 109-1 - astonishing stuff by any standards!
